A new image made by using the new 'fog' features of A3D... I add the mesh screenshot and the link to the slightly different version put in the Cg talk forums' gallery. Comments are welcome as usual...

Thanks Pierre... The new fog features are really taking the scene staging in A3D to quite another level
The site image is almost ready... I only want to try a frame on it, that's all. Tomorrow I will send it to you most probably... As to the render times it was quite fast. I do not remember exactly but maybe some five to seven minutes with an aa amount of 'threshold' 0.01 and 'level' 0.15, in an original size of 800x1000. In such renders, where there are no refractive materials, no ao, no area lights and no GI, things go very fast as to the rendering times. |
