|
|
I was wondering if ppModeler supported any type of file format with skeletons? I have had the nice program on my computer for a year or so, but I never really checked it out throughly. I just now noticed that it supports skeletons with weighted vertices's! I am downloading the beta to get up to date because I see that a new version hasn't been released since I got mine. I looked through the file import formats and didn't see one that imports models with skeletons. I see that Directx is supported with exports though, but I haven't tried it to see if the skeleton is exported. So, if models with skeletons can be imported and exported, which format can I use? And if not, I would like to make that a feature request.
I think the program is really nice. I need to be able to import and export models with skeletons and animation to be fully functional for me.
Thanks,

No, You're right, there is not for the moment.
the lwo import also import skeleton (it is much more like bone list in this case), and the x expoter do not support skeleton yet. The x expoter is a script, so it can be enhanced...
Do you know other file format that can be used ?
I plane to add the FBX file format. So if you need this feature, I will rise it to the top of my to-do list (with support for mesh, ligths, camera, bones and animations).
