|
|
I am having a couple of hiccups, I have just installed the program 2 days ago and have been practicing madly , but, I have hit a couple of hurdles.
the program is not remembering my preferences.
1/ I Uncheck the show tips at start up, it still shows the tips at the start and I uncheck it again and still it shows up
2/ I go into the Options, - Shortcut.. and change a couple of keys ie: I want the loop to work with l and not L, also I want the ring tool to work with r not R,
I make the changes, close Albatross3D, re open it and all the settings are back the way they were.
3/ When I "Shift -Click" it is not deselecting, so I am stuck on the object.
I am running Win7 64bit.
What am I missing?
thanks in advance _________________ Just do it, It might be fun. |

Can you try to install the program on in the root folder?
Something like c:\A3D.
I think your problems are coming for writing restriction in the "program files" folder...

Cool.
what do you want to do?
Shift click add/remove to the selection.
It works in mesh/object mode, face, edge and vertex.
But, in face, edge and vertex mode, something needs to be selected. In these mode, you can remove from selection only if there is still something selected after... If you just click on an item, then the other items are deselected an the pointed item is selected.
For the moment, Shift-Click doesn't work in the object list... I will add soon a Shift-Click and a Ctrl-Click to select a range in the object list.

OK, I think I got it..
I opened a new scene, bought in a sphere, selected face from the menu, and clicked on a couple of faces, looped them, and pulled them up.
I Shift-Clicked but the faces were still selected, but, when i clicked on the Meshes item in the menu list it deselected the faces and I was back to where I wanted to be..
thanks again for the explanation.
I am starting to enjoy this program more and more... _________________ Just do it, It might be fun. |
