Hello,

The texturing part is done in the texture projector toolbox, accessible from the mesh tools or from the face toolbox.
There, you will find the std uv projections: plane, cylindrical, spherical, uvs and face.
Start with a plane projector.
then switch to the uv projector. There, you can edit the uvs by hand...
Oh, I forgot, you need to switch to the uv projected drawing mode in one of the view... (use the D key until you reach it). Also, in the private beta, you will find the LSCM unwrap tool (like in blender or silo). first, select the edges where you want seams, and use the split tool. then, select 2 uv points, and launch the LSCM tool... you can add and place selected uv points and move them to control the unwrapping...

If you want to unwrap externally, export the mesh in obj format, work with and reimport from an obj file.
The texture is applied when it is part of the material ...

hope this help, but i definitively need to make a video about it!!!
