Hi,

is it possible to support other languages than English? I think i could do the German translation.

Another german has already started this...
I will contact him and send your email, so that you can coordinate your effort.
The file to be touched is $PPMODLER_DIR/rc/modeler.rc.

A little more work is needed in order to put all the string in resources.

Hmm, you mixed ppmodeler settings, keyboard shortcus and language resources into the modeler.rc.
Could you change that so that all translateable stuff goes into an seperate .rc file?
You could name it strings.rc

but it will take a week or two for the next beta, because I need to finish the current improvement before making a release....

by the way, there is now 4 rc files:
modeler.rc for the current config. There your can change the language file
en.rc for the interface in english.
shortkeys.rc for the shortkeys.
tips.rc for the tips of the day.

Uff!

There are a lot of missing and not working strings.

Examples
- not working: tbx2dCurveButton s=, menuOption s=, etc.
- missing: Edit Point of Views, Grid, Add a grid Object, etc.
...and a lot others. Smile

I hope you can add the missing strings soon? For easier localization can you add new or changed strings to end of the EN.RC file? Maybe you know a better way for maintaining localization?

Ok, will have a look at thenot working ones.
Will add the missing ones (and there's a lot) but part by part.
If you need any tool to cope with the rc file, just let me know.
I can create a tool to write a file with the code present in one file and not in another one for example.

Or, I can an online database of codes and translation, that will generates the language rc files.

It's done. I finished the translation for en.rc and tips.rc. Now where is the rest? Wink
